Online training continues to boom in Spain and Latin America

Online training or e-learning continues to grow as an increasingly attractive option for students, professionals and managers, who choose to take degrees and master’s degrees online to acquire skills and improve their skills. In Spain alone, distance training reached a market value of 1,500 million euros at the end of 2018, with a growth rate of around 7%. This is extracted from a report by the DBK Sectoral Observatory.

An upward trend that will continue in the near future, according to estimates by the market research company Technavio.

In general, remote training is more attractive for people over 30 years of age. In this range up to 63% opt for online training. This is indicated by a study published by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This is because professionals or intermediate positions who want to undertake or train as managers need to be able to combine their work with training, something that only e-learning currently allows.

Another reason that is driving the growth of online master’s degrees in Spain and Latin America is the increase in demand for professionals with specialized training.
